Igneous rocks, first molten then cooled
you know that they're hot! Ain't nobody fooled.
Sedimentary rocks, grains weathered/cemented
a hodgepodge of sizes, textural pattern demented.
Metamorphic rocks, lived under such pressure
at the surface of Earth, the stress is much lesser.
Identities merge -- are origins trifle
as one becomes all over time as rocks cycle?
